Bharata Natyam

Traditional training of classical dance Adavus (Basic steps) to Alankar (MA) levels and to prepare for Arangetram/Rangpravesham (dance debut).

All classes start with Pranayama (Yogic breathing), yoga stretches, balancing postures and end with relaxation.

Bharata Natyam Classes:

Course: Basic to Advanced Levels – Completion is based on age, attendance and practice.

One Margam Dances: Levels 1 – 7 (group lessons 7 years)

Arangetram:After completion of one full Margam dances, intense practice 1- 2 years

FAST Track Program:Customized based on student’s goal.

Dress Code:Uniform is required for optimal progress

Yoga

Art of healthy living, and a spiritual practice to connect mind, body and soul. Originated in ancient India thousands of years ago. Our Yoga teaching philosophy is based on 1 Proper Exercise, (Asana) 2 Yogic Breathing (Pranayama), 3 Proper Relaxation, 4 Vegetarian Diet, 5 Positive Thinking and Meditation. Instructors are E-RYT (Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher) by Yoga Alliance, USA and Pilates certified. All Yoga and Pilates classes are designed for children and Women.

After experiencing an amazing benefit of the ancient art of the yogic practice, I was motivated to become a registered yoga teacher and share my practice with the community to bring more awareness towards the holistic path for healthy living. I have been teaching yoga at community programs including corporate, yoga studios and fitness centers by giving classes and workshops, especially formulated for women, children, as well as Hatha Yoga to all levels, including classes with a special emphasis on Pranayama (breathing techniques), Meditation and Asana (Postures) and various healing therapies.

June Hayes, RYT:

She has obtained her RYT from Yoga Alliance in 2001 and since that time has been sharing yoga by learning and teaching, taking and giving yoga classes throughout the Metro Detroit area. She is also certified in Ashtanga yoga by David Swenson, certified in mat Pilates by Physical Mind Institute, as well as certified as a personal trainer by World Instructor Training Schools. She has a bachelor's degree in holistic nutrition. "Yoga, being the union of body and breath, mind and spirit, individual with universe, sun and moon, is available to everyone, right where they are in this moment." June enjoys presenting yoga classes that are accessible to all who are traveling the path of yoga.

Vinyasa Yoga:

The graceful flowing movements with yoga postures and proper breathing.

It is a dance yoga, flow of connected yoga asanas (postures) linked with the rhythm of a breath. The continuous movement to build inner heat, strength, vitality. Knowledge of the basic postures is required to be able to move with the flow.

Yoga for Kids:

Yoga poses and breathing, with learn and fun to boost energy, enhance confidence and self-esteem, stimulate main intelligence like body/kinesthetic, music/rhythmic, visual/spatial, and interpersonal. All fun filled yoga classes designed to develop concentration, memory, balance, eye sight, artistic skills, stability, strength, flexibility, and overall health.

Mat Pilates:

Strengthen, lengthen, tone the abs and entire body. Reduce weight. Bring mental, emotional and physical balance. Increase energy level and decrease stress level.
